A second car seat base is a really important accessory that will come in handy. When you buy a car seat you get an accompanying base with it. And with the introduction of LATCH, you might be tempted to not buy a second base.

LATCH - Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children - was developed so that it would be easier to install child car seats without having to use seat belts. All child safety seats and most cars manufactured after Sept 1, 2002 are required to have the LATCH system.

Most people think that with LATCH it is easy to move the base from one car to another so why buy another?

Here are some reasons why you need a second car seat base:

Importance of correct installation - You know how important it is to install the base correctly into the car.
